Dino Hosts Carnegie Christmas Concert With Manhattan Pops and Local Church Choir

'American's Piano Showman' Brings Sights and Sounds of the Season to Life

WHAT: Dino Kartsonakis, known as "America's Piano Showman" for his
talent and dramatic flair at the keyboard, has been invited by
Carnegie Hall to host a Christmas concert this year with the
Manhattan Pops Orchestra and Chorale. Dino has also invited a
local church choir from Brooklyn's Christian Cultural Center to
join them in performing many traditional Christmas carols.

WHO: Dino is a native New Yorker, having grown up in the city as the
grandson of first-generation Greek immigrants. He often walked
past Carnegie Hall -- especially during his time studying at
Julliard -- and dreamed of one day playing there. He is elated
that the opportunity comes at Christmas, and that he gets to play
songs that are near and dear to his heart.

Dino is a world-class entertainer, who for the past 13 years has
been an "anchor" act in Branson, Missouri, the Live Music Show
Capital of the World. Touring and recording since the 1970s, Dino
has performed for millions of people worldwide and has released
more than 40 albums. He has worked on multiple movie soundtracks,
including the Grammy Award-winning soundtrack for "The Apostle,"
and he garnered a Grammy nomination for his instrumental album
"Chariots of Fire." He has also received a Telly Award and eight
Gospel Music Association Dove Awards.

The Christian Cultural Center Choir, a part of the largest church
in New York City pastored by A.R. Bernard, has performed at
numerous prestigious venues while on tour worldwide, and along
with leader Gary Anglin, has shared the stage with artists like
Stevie Wonder, Bebe & CeCe Winans, and Patti LaBelle.

WHEN: Thursday, Dec. 15
8 p.m.

WHERE: Isaac Stern Auditorium
Carnegie Hall
881 Seventh Avenue
