CanWest MediaWorks Income Fund Announces Monthly Distribution

TORONTO, Dec. 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CanWest MediaWorks Income Fund (the "Fund") has announced that its Board of Trustees has approved a cash distribution of $0.0771 per unit for the month of December, 2005. This distribution will be paid on January 16th, 2006 to unitholders of record as of the close of business on December 30th, 2005.

The Fund's Declaration of Trust requires that it distribute all taxable income earned up to December 31, 2005. Accordingly, the Fund also announces that, in addition to the above regular distribution, a special year-end distribution in an amount estimated to be $0.02 per unit will be paid on January 16, 2006 to unitholders of record on December 31, 2005. The exact amount of this special distribution will be determined prior to the date of payment and will be based upon the aggregate taxable income of the Fund to December 31, 2005.
