Sports Pro Predicts How 'Two For The Money' Will Do on DVD

NEW YORK, Nov. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- One would look at the disastrous box office performance of "Two For The Money" and believe that the studio had created a flop. Or did they? We decided to ask our favorite sports handicapping pro, Larry "The Duke" Dukehart, to give his prediction on how the movie's upcoming DVD release will perform.

"Ask yourself one question," Larry said. "Why would a major production studio release a movie about sports handicapping over Columbus Day Weekend?"

It was a good question; thinking back, this past Columbus Day weekend was quite possibly the biggest weekend of the year to watch sports on television. There was college football, NFL, MLB, and NHL action all weekend long. Why would anyone who loved sports want to go to the theater when they had all the action they could want at home?

Was it a huge mistake by studio executives? Did they even know what they were doing when they chose that weekend to release the movie? Larry thinks they knew exactly what they were doing and explained the reasoning behind it:

"The studios know sports movies are a hard sell. Most theatergoers attend movies over the weekend, and unfortunately that's when sports are on television. That's why movies about sports typically do better in DVD sales; because it allows viewers to choose the time and date they want to watch the movie. This is why I predict that 'Two For The Money' will do better once it's released to DVD, and I bet the studio executives know it, too."

If anyone could predict the upcoming sales of the DVD, it would be Larry. No stranger to the media himself, Larry's fun-loving and boisterous personality is often described as a cross between sports legend Terry Bradshaw and comedian Jimmy Kimmel. With over 20 years of experience, Larry knows the secrets of handicapping inside and out. Why else would Caesars Palace pay him for his colorful insight?

When on the air from coast-to-coast, you just can't help but enjoy the banter and entertainment he brings to television and radio. The listeners just love this guy, and that's why he is asked to come back time and again. Indeed, Larry is a walking and talking encyclopedia of sports information. His website http://www.dukewins.com/ is consistently called the #1 source for all things sports.

"The Duke" assures us that the movie may have been a bust at the box office, but you can bet that "Two For The Money" will be a sure winner on DVD.
