Pacha Set to Launch First North American Venue in NYC
World Renowned Lifestyle Brand Pacha and Erick Morillo Announce Debut of Large-Scale Dynamic Music Venue To Open in New York City on December 9th
NEW YORK, Nov. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- World-renowned lifestyle brand Pacha is teaming up with DJ/producer Erick Morillo to launch Pacha in New York City on Friday, December 9. The newest member of the international nightlife consortium will be the first North American branch of the club. Pacha was founded by Ricardo Urgell in 1967 with a single club in Sitges, Spain and the family-run business has since grown in to a global brand that encompasses more than 25 nightclubs, a hotel, restaurants, a record label, radio station, lifestyle magazine and a full-scale merchandising division.
"After 36 years and 25 nightclubs, it has been the dream of Pacha to host a New York venue. We believe New York is the spiritual home of discos and nightclubs and we are happy to be a part of its great history," says Pacha's brand director Danny Whittle.
Located on 46th Street in Hell's Kitchen, the four-tiered, 30,000 square foot nightclub and event space is primed to change the city's nightlife landscape. Armed with the expertise of nightlife veteran Eddie Dean and featuring New York's only Alpha Dynacord sound system imported from Germany, Pacha is truly in a class of its own.
"I want this to be a club where the best DJs in the world will come to play on the best sound system in the world," says Music Director and Co-Owner, Erick Morillo. Notorious for consistently drawing unprecedented crowds to Pacha's flagship club in Ibiza, Spain, Morillo will take up residency behind the turntables at the new venue on a monthly basis.
Frequented by celebrities like Sean Combs, Tommy Lee, Naomi Campbell, Prince Albert of Monaco, and Helena Christensen, Pacha has long been a fixture on the international party circuit. New York's Pacha will redefine exclusivity by featuring a private VIP floor with its own entrance and separate areas adorned with opulent decor while providing impeccable service. An ideal space for hosting an intimate event, a corporate party or a colossal celebration, Pacha will be boldly irreverent, unerringly glamorous, and eternally chic.
The name 'pacha' comes from Spanish folklore and roughly translates to
"live like a king" and New York's Pacha will fully embrace that philosophy.
