High Growth Potential for New Acquisition

VIENNA, Va., Nov. 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The Allied Defense Group, Inc. (AMEX:ADG) provides additional information regarding Global Microwave Systems (GMS), its newest acquisition.

Major General (Ret) John J. Marcello, Chief Executive Officer and President of The Allied Defense Group, said, "Understandably, our investors are curious about our newest acquisition. We have received numerous questions about the historical performance of GMS and how we see the company contributing to Allied going forward. As I mentioned in the prior release, GMS is a strong company and a smart acquisition. Revenue for the firm is expected to exceed $10.0 - 11.5 million for full-year 2005 with earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) of $3.0 - 3.5 million (prior to any deal related closing costs). In 2006, the first full year of our ownership of GMS, we expect it to contribute to our Electronic Security segment with revenue growth potential of as much as 80% and similar levels of profit contribution."

As previously announced, the Company expects GMS to be accretive to current operating results and has been factored into the previously announced full-year 2005 guidance.
