Radio Personality Rick Dees Kicks Off a Nationwide Group Karaoke Contest at the Mall of America

NEW YORK, Nov. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- There is exciting news for the thousands of Americans dreaming of stage stardom: On Wednesday November 9th, Rick Dees was on hand at the Mall of America in Minneapolis to kick off the search for the best group of karaoke singers!

This is an opportunity to win money, prizes, and the chance to be judged by voters from across America. To enter the first-ever "Cheerioke" contest, entrants must be part of a group of 3-5 people, performing their karaoke version of the 60's hit, "I'm Into Something Good." Groups can enter by attending the event at the Mall of America; sending in a recorded entry; and through official Cheerioke events held by participating radio stations across the country.

The top 15 finalist groups in the national contest will receive $500 and will perform again online, where the voting public will determine which group will walk away with the grand prize of $10,000!
