Award Winning Inspirational Life Television (i-Lifetv) Leads the New Paradigm in the Way America Views Television
CHARLOTTE, N.C., Nov. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- The Inspiration Networks announced today that a new era in Christian broadcasting is on the brink of changing how Americans view traditional broadcasting. Pre-empting this major paradigm change, the organization's digital lifestyle network, Inspirational Life Television (i-Lifetv), is launching more programs than any other Christian network in history.
i-Lifetv continues to break new ground, partnering with cable operators in marketing campaigns that reach new customers and generate unbudgeted revenue.
In a recent sub acquisition campaign conducted with Cox Communications Las Vegas, i-Lifetv generated almost 5,000 new digital customers (including more than 4,500 subs that did not subscribe to cable) -- a 3.8 percent digital subscriber lift. With the 90 percent retention after 180 days, these additional customers resulted in significant increases in revenues and helped the system stymie the erosion to Direct Broadcast Satellite (DBS).
Assuming an average of $50 a month for a digital sub, a growth of 5,000 subs would equal $250,000/month or $3,000,000 a year in new revenue! "That's the kind of dramatic, bottom-line impact i-Lifetv can generate for systems," said John Roos, senior vice-president of marketing. "If i-Lifetv -- the proven revenue driver -- can add 5,000 new subs in a market like Las Vegas, what can it do in other cities?"
i-Lifetv is a proven network that brings success for cable retention, providing a new dimension in local market support through cross promotion campaigns that include programmer web sites, newsletters, e-blasts, and radio broadcasts. Plus, i-Lifetv offers systems a wide range of local community awareness activities. Through this totally unique package, i-Lifetv empowers Multiple System Operators (MSOs) and systems to drive basic cable subscribers to digital.
"i-Lifetv is a new model for television, and breaking ground with a fresh and totally distinctive concept," Roos said. "i-Lifetv is relevant without compromising its commitment to high quality and real life values. We're reaching existing and new cable viewers in unprecedented numbers as we usher in a new era to television viewing."
Launched in 1997, i-Lifetv was the first and only "inspirational lifestyle network" created to help people everywhere to live more productive, successful lives, as they reflect on the lifestyle and values Americans everywhere traditionally cherish. Each week, a variety of hosts address real-life issues faced by modern-day marriages and families, including issues surrounding child rearing, sex education, family finances, and parent-child communication.
Featured are programs produced by women, for women, like the original talk show, "Everyday Woman," hosted by Barbara Cerullo and Becky Henderson. This program deals with the practical issues that women face each day and features unsung heroines: women who are wives, mothers, and homemakers; and who are involved in loving service to others. In addition, i-Lifetv will be debuting "Raising an Amazing Generation" with lecturer and author Carole Ardizzone who will offer insight and practical advice to parents.
"This is the kind of programming Americans want to see," said Ron Shuping, senior vice president of programming. "With the addition of more than 18 new programs to the channel lineup in the past year, 74 percent of i-Lifetv's programs are original and exclusive, which is unheard of in the Christian television industry. And 92 percent of the programs are unduplicated."
In addition, there are programs about nutrition and cooking, as well as programs that provide the basics for food preparation, fitness, and a healthy lifestyle. i-Lifetv also features travel, sports, outdoor sports and news.
In 2004, i-Lifetv debuted several other original and exclusive programs, including the exclusive daily series, "The Danny Fontana Show." Fontana, a licensed stock broker and award-winner broadcaster, examines the hot issue of the day from a political, economic, and spiritual perspective.
i-Lifetv serves the kids and the family with exclusive entertainment shows like "Taylor's Attic" and "Comedy At Large," an original, award-winning "reality comedy" half-hour hosted by comedian Thor Ramsey, who finds humor in the workplace, as he takes on new careers in the real world. i-Lifetv features high-energy, cutting edge programs every weekday afternoon (and late at night) including "Steelroots TV," "Sound of Light," "Livewire," "Replay," "Holy Hip Hop," and "Flavor Fest."
"Our message is simple," Roos says. "For the cable industry, i-Lifetv delivers on the promise of the first significant new model in religious television. And, for consumers, i-Lifetv delivers everything for life. And, it's a lifestyle you can trust. This is a message and a promise, to the American public, the cable industry, and their loyal customers."
