WEGENER Receives Multimillion-Dollar Order from Jones Radio Networks for iPump Solution
DULUTH, Ga., Oct. 31 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Wegener(R) Corporation (NASDAQ:WGNR), a leading provider of television, audio and data distribution networks worldwide, today announced a multimillion-dollar order from Jones Radio Networks(R) (JRN(R)) for WEGENER's Audio iPump Solution to replace its radio distribution equipment. The order includes WEGENER's new iPump 6420 Media Server, a supporting MediaPlan(TM) Content Management System, WEGENER's patented Compel Network Control System and Unity 4600 Satellite Media Receivers.
Jones Radio Networks will augment its linear audio network with the store-forward technology supplied with WEGENER's iPump Solution to enable central casting in its network. JRN supplies radio broadcasts to more than 5,000 stations throughout the country on a daily or weekly basis. "WEGENER's iPump Solution allows us to improve our programming content to each of our stations," stated Robert Hampton, President of JRN.
