Starz Edge to Show World Television Premiere of 'House of Flying Daggers'

24-Hour Marathon 'House of FU' Features Kung-Fu Action Beginning on October 28th at 9 p.m./ET

ENGLEWOOD, Colo., Oct. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Starz Edge flies into kung fu battle with the "House of FU" marathon featuring 8 action films filled with chops, kicks and amazing stunts culminating in the world television premiere of the Oscar(R)-nominated "House of Flying Daggers," Saturday, October 29th at 9 p.m. (ET/PT). The "House of FU," a 24-hour marathon of kung fu action, celebrates the influence of Asian martial arts on American films and directors. Movies such as "The Matrix" Trilogy owe much to the genre, as do Quentin Tarantino's "Kill Bill Vol. 1" and "Kill Bill Vol. 2." "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" and "Hero" have also done exceptionally well stateside, reiterating the genre's popularity in American culture. The marathon will feature the following films:

October 28th
* "Hero" (9:00 p.m.) -- Nameless (Jet Li) is an assassin on a mission to
kill a powerful warlord and ruthless leader in China. Our hero
defeats three other assassins, Flying Snow (Maggie Cheung), Broken
Sword (Tony Leung) and Sky (Donnie Yen) in his quest to kill the king.
* "Kill Bill Vol. 1" (10:45 p.m.) -- The Bride (Uma Thurman) is set on
revenge against her ex-lover, Bill (David Carradine) and fellow
assassins, who leave her for dead on her wedding day.

October 29th
* "Infernal Affairs" (12:45 a.m.) -- A police officer (Shawn Yue) is
sent to infiltrate the mafia while at the same time, a mafia member
(Eric Tsang) is sent to infiltrate the police force. Things come to a
head as their counterparts (Andy Lau, Tony Leung) race to expose the
traitor amongst them.
* "Mortal Kombat Annihilation" (2:35 a.m.) -- In a race against time to
save the Earth from certain doom, a portal to Outworld has been opened
by evil leader Shao Kahn (Brian Thompson) and warriors led by Lord
Rayden (James Remar) and Liu Kang (Robin Shou) must fight to close
it.
* "Once Upon a Time in China" (6:10 a.m.) -- An embodiment of
traditional Chinese values, Wong Fei-hung (Jet Li) battles the
infiltration of foreign forces and influences in China.
* "Once Upon a Time in China II" (10:00 a.m.) -- Full of classic fight
scenes, the second in the series finds our hero, Wong Fei-hung (Jet
Li), battling European control of Canton.
* "Once Upon a Time in China III" (1:45 p.m.) -- No longer battling the
foreign forces, Wong Fei-hung (Jet Li) and his companion Aunt Yee
(Rosamund Kwan) find themselves in Peking where Wong enters a Lion
Dance martial arts contest.
* "House of Flying Daggers" (9:00 p.m.) -- In a series of plot twists
that keep you guessing until the end, a young dancer Mei (Ziyi Zhang)
is investigated by Jin (Takeshi Kaneshiro), for having ties to a
secret organization. He wants to earn her trust in hopes that she
might reveal their leader.
