Independent Television to Air Jason Roberts' Taste Featuring iCook Cookware from Quixtar
ADA, Mich., Oct. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Jason Roberts, world-renowned chef, author and television personality, will be hosting a new show on Independent Television (formerly PAX Television) beginning in November 2005. Jason Roberts' Taste(TM) will feature healthy recipes and cooking techniques using iCook cookware from Quixtar (http://www.quixtar.com/ .)
A dedicated proponent of healthier cooking and lifestyles, Roberts' approach to cooking and living well meshes perfectly with iCook Cookware and the other Quixtar exclusive brands focused on health and technology. Each-30 minute Taste show will include a mix of cooking demonstrations and entertaining, informative interviews with experts in the field of wellness.
Jason Roberts' Taste(TM) is being produced by Mandalay Integrated Media Entertainment (MIME, part of the Mandalay Entertainment group.) MIME President David Salzberg is the executive producer, along with Scott Sternberg (Sunday Morning Shootout, The Quest for Nutrition, The Gong Show) who also directs.
Roberts started his culinary journey as a child in his grandmother's kitchen. All of his grandparents were involved in either running restaurants or catering businesses, and his exposure to an intriguing world of rich tastes and savory aromas inspired him at an early age to pursue a career in the family business.
He began sharing his joy of cooking with larger and larger audiences in Sydney, Australia, where he was named Apprentice of the Year by the East Sydney Technical Institute in 1993. As an Executive Chef at Sydney's famous Bistro Moncur, Jason was declared one of the "new breed of chefs" on the scene, and began hosting his own television cooking program, Fresh.
Roberts stepped onto the American stage in January 2003, when he was introduced to more than 14 million Americans on Good Morning America. His brilliant smile, charm, and "Down Under" accent -- along with his infectious and energetic approach to better cooking and living -- made him a regular guest on many other television programs.
His passion for fast, healthy eating, using fresh, simple ingredients and iCook Cookware, fits perfectly with America's pursuit of a healthier lifestyle.
Jason Roberts' Taste will air on Independent Television Nov. 5 and Dec. 3, 2005 and Jan. 7, 2006 at 3 p.m. EST/PST and 2 p.m. CST/MST in Alaska and Hawaii.
