First Multi-Platform Broadcast Network, Ripe TV, Makes History With launch Today at 4:20 PM EDT
New Network for Guys Will Change How, When and Where Viewers Get Their Entertainment Fix
HOLLYWOOD, Calif., Oct. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- At 4:20 PM EDT today the first advertiser-supported, multi-platform broadcast network will launch and there's nothing you can do about it. Ripe TV will now be available for free on the web (www.ripe.tv) and Comcast On Demand, providing short-form programming for men 18 to 34. Ripe TV will also be available for download to mobile phones.
"No one in the history of entertainment has ever done anything like this before," Ripe TV CEO and Founder Ryan Magnussen stated in an authoritative tone, " ... have they?"
Ripe TV's programming incorporates "immersive advertising," which enables viewers to view shows and ads simultaneously. This approach will quickly change the landscape of entertainment across all mediums. With its diverse lineup, Ripe TV is ready for the task of shifting current trends to a limitless horizon.
"There hasn't been an eruption like this in mainstream culture since Vesuvius ... or the Great Schism ... or when 'Lavern & Shirley' was cancelled," added Magnussen. "We are prepared to take full responsibility for the drastic drop in workplace production, late nights watching TV on the couch and perhaps a few fender benders as guys across the country turn their attention to what's truly important, babes, cool stunts and laughing so hard you, well, you know, brought to you by Ripe TV."
"To say that Ripe TV is a revolution is putting it lightly. I would say it's at least a revolution and a half," said Patrick Bradley, President, Ripe TV. "We would like to assure our audience that we will act mindfully with our newfound power and take seriously our responsibility to give guys the entertainment that they really want."
Ripe TV Programming Lineup:
Bikini World - Viewers should get ready to hit the pause button. From the beaches of Rio to the mountaintops of Nepal, Ripe TV searches the globe to find the hottest women wearing the best bikinis in the coolest settings
Ripe Rocks - Exclusive performances and music videos from bands that real music lovers want to see and hear but can't find on MTV.
No Limits - The most authentic, extreme and cutting edge shows about action sports available today.
Knuckleheads - If you liked "Jackass" you'll love this out-of-control antics clip show that bucks the system. Complete with sarcastic commentary by its puppet host Stuart.
Casting Ripe Live - The viewers vote for the most talented and gorgeous girl to become The Ripe Girl of the Month and host "Ripe Live". Are you sensing a theme here?
Ed's Night Party - What do a hot tub, a cigar, an old tube stock and hot women have in common? Well if you've never seen "Ed's Night Party," you're about to find out.
Ripe Live - An offering of Ripe's newest and most exclusive shows each week, hosted by the Ripe Girl of the Month (who will be easy on the eyes).
Today, Ripe TV launches its already popular on-demand cable network across Broadband and Mobile, marking the first time in history that the same entertainment content can be viewed on all three platforms simultaneously.
"Today I finally know what it feels like to be Ted Turner, Sumner Redstone and Richard Branson," Ryan Magnussen said candidly during a recent press conference, "But will they ever know what it feels like to be me? With the burgeoning success of this unprecedented venture, it's hard to imagine they ever will."
