EVENT: Switchfoot kicks off new album Nothing is Sound (Columbia
Records) with a free show, this Saturday at the Santa Monica
Pier.
Lowercase People, Switchfoot's non-profit organization, will
be at the event collecting donations on behalf of The
Salvation Army will support the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

DETAILS: The San Diego alt-rock band will release Nothing Is Sound
Sept. 13, the follow-up to their multi-platinum album The
Beautiful Letdown, which delivered two Top 5 hit singles:
"Meant To Live" and "Dare You To Move" and sold over 2.6
million copies.
