interactive hand-drumming cruise.

Grateful Dead and others)

Elie Kihonia, founder, Afrika Yetu (Pittsburgh-based African
cultural understanding organization) & co-founder, UMOJA African
Arts Company (Pittsburgh-based African cultural arts
organization)

The general public (no musical experience necessary to
participate in "drum circles")

Why: To give people a creative outlet for relieving stress.

To strengthen people's bonds with others in the community.

To strengthen people's appreciation of how valuable Pittsburgh's
Three Rivers are to the region.

To make "drum circles" an integral part of Pittsburgh's musical
scene.
