Encore Puts the Fright Right Back in Halloween With 'Fear Fest: 31 Nights of Horror'

A Different Fright Flick Every Night in October Culminating on Halloween With the World Television Premiere of Director Tobe Hooper's 'Toolbox Murders'

ENGLEWOOD, Colo., Sept. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- October can only mean one thing, Halloween and FEAR FEST: 31 Nights of Horror on Encore. There's a different fright flick every night at 8:00 p.m. -- which translates -- NO REPEATS, Chuckie! The event culminates on Halloween night with the world television premiere of cult director Tobe Hooper's "Toolbox Murders."

"This is the ultimate Halloween-themed programming stunt, which promises to be the start of a heart pounding, nail biting annual event," says Michael Ruggiero, vp of programming and scheduling. "Encore is flexing its horror muscles showing the films uncut and commercial-free, like no other network can."

In Director Hooper's ("The Texas Chainsaw Massacre") "Toolbox Murders," a historic Hollywood hotel houses a supernatural evil. Although it's been dormant for decades, renovations start a series of gruesome murders.
