XM Satellite Radio College Football Coverage Kicks Off September 1 With ACC, Pac-Ten, Big Ten Play-By-Play and Exclusive News Show

WASHINGTON, Aug. 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- XM Satellite Radio (NASDAQ:XMSR), the nation's leading satellite radio service with more than 4.4 million subscribers, will kick off its coverage of the 2005 Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), Pacific-10 Conference (Pac-10) and Big Ten Conference (Big Ten) football seasons on September 1. In addition to play-by-play broadcasts of ACC, Pac-10 and Big Ten games throughout the season, XM will debut a new weekday college football news and call-in show, "College Football Coast to Coast" on September 12.

XM's college football coverage opens September 1 when Vanderbilt takes on Wake Forest at 7 p.m. ET on XM's ACC Channel 191. Also at 7 p.m. ET on XM's Pac-10 Channel 194 Temple faces off against Arizona State. Immediately following at 10 p.m. ET, Idaho goes head to head with Washington State on Pac- 10 Channel 195. XM's college football coverage continues throughout Labor Day weekend with live play-by-play action from ACC, Pac-10 and Big Ten match ups, including Virginia Tech vs. NC State, Sacramento State vs. Cal, Kent State vs. Michigan State, Miami vs. Florida State and more.

The 2005 season also marks the first time play-by-play of Boston College games will be available through XM's ACC coverage since leaving the Big East Conference earlier this year. Beginning September 12, XM's college football programming lineup will include "College Football Coast to Coast," a new live, weekday show dedicated to college football available exclusively on XM. Hosted by T.J. Rives, this new hour-long program will cover news from college football conferences across the country, game analysis, interviews and listener call-ins. "College Football Coast to Coast" will air weekdays at 9 a.m. ET on XM Channel 191.
