Radyne Awarded $1.2 Million Digital TV Encoder Supply Agreement

PHOENIX, Aug. 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Radyne Corporation (NASDAQ:RADN) announced that it received a $1.2 million Volume Purchase Agreement with a leading provider of broadcast terrestrial systems, for the supply of its standard definition video broadcast equipment. Radyne's Tiernan subsidiary will supply its SE 4000 SDTV encoder and TDR 60 decoder which will be deployed as part of a major upgrade to broadcast systems employed in mobile electronic news gathering. The contract represents a portion of a potential 500 systems due for upgrade.
