SANTA CRUZ, Calif., Aug. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Don't miss the "Last Train To Clarksville" to hear your favorite Monkees classics when Mick Dolenz arrives Friday on the beach in Santa Cruz!

Dolenz will perform the Monkee's greatest hits at the Pepsi Presents: Free Friday Night Bands-on-the-Beach concert on the Boardwalk's bandstand on Friday, August 12.

The first and best of the 60's and 70's prefabricated TV pop groups, the Monkee's were an instant success due to their collective talent, great song writing and high-energy performances. The group went on to sell more than 65 million records worldwide with the first five albums all going gold and 6 singles breaking into the Top 10 on the Billboard charts.

Dolenz began as a child actor at age 10 in various TV shows, including NBC's Circus Boy, before the Monkees formed in 1965. He sang lead on many of The Monkees biggest hits, including "Clarksville," and "I'm a Believer."

Dolenz will perform two, free, 45-minute shows at 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. on the Boardwalk's bandstand.

Both shows include an American Sign Language Interpreter and special seating with unobstructed views of the stage for the deaf and hard of hearing is available. Special seating for the mobility impaired is also available.
