Comcast SportsNet Garners 24 Mid-Atlantic Emmy Award Nominations
Winners to Be Announced September 17
PHILADELPHIA, Aug. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Comcast SportsNet, the leader in regional sports news, was honored with 24 Mid-Atlantic Emmy Award Nominations. The awards recognize excellence in news, programming and individual achievement in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. The nominations were announced last evening at a reception hosted by the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the National Television Academy.

Comcast SportsNet's nominations once again include "SportsNite" for Outstanding Sports Newscast, which captured the honor last year. Comcast SportsNet also received nominations for Philadelphia 76ers and Philadelphia Phillies game coverage in the Outstanding Live Sports Coverage/Series category. In addition, the network was recognized with nominations for various sports programming and promotional campaigns, as well as 10 nominations in individual achievement.
The Emmy Awards will be presented on Saturday, September 17 at the Mid- Atlantic Awards Gala at the Philadelphia Marriott. All entries are judged outside the Chapter's region by panels of television industry peers with expertise in a given category who are working in comparable television markets across the country.
