PCA and Michael Bolton Unveil World Mentorship Program (WMP) With the New Song 'FIVE FEET AWAY'

PALM COAST, Fla., WESTPORT, Conn. and LONDON, Aug. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Professional Caddies Association (PCA) and some of Nashville's best music teams are ready to launch a music rocket this October, with fuel supplied by Michael Bolton out of his respect for caddies and his passion to assist women and children at risk. The release of "FIVE FEET AWAY" marks the beginning of the PCA/Michael Bolton-World Mentorship Program (WMP).

More than three years of work have gone into this project to encapsulate the essence of support, encouragement, dedication and faith: all significant qualities of being a caddie and mentor.

"'FIVE FEET AWAY' has everything we wanted and more and will prove to be so very relevant to the majority of people worldwide. And now to have the honour of two-time Grammy Award-Winner for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance Michael Bolton singing the final version, scheduled to be released this fall, has been more than this foundation and its founders could ever have expected," said Dennis Cone, founder of the World Caddie Headquarters (PCA). "The scope of this project has reached far beyond the Caddie, and has extended to everyone who has ever had a person who has been Five Feet Away encouraging them to be the best that they can be."

"FIVE FEET AWAY" was initially written and produced for Bruce Edwards, Tom Watson's long-time caddie and friend, and dedicated to ALL caddies worldwide. Edwards lost his courageous battle against ALS in 2004 and his wife, Marsha Edwards, requested the song be played at his funeral.

"FIVE FEET AWAY" is not just a golf song but a tribute to all the heroes worldwide and in our lives who are, spiritually, metaphorically or physically, never more than Five Feet Away, who push and support us to be the best we can be and deserve the glory as much as we do.

PCA thanks and gives credit to the music team of: Michael Bolton, the Writers and PCA Caddie Hall of Fame inductees, David Vincent Williams and Mike Geiger; Producers, Tim Akers (Amy Grant's go-to-guy), Gary Glover and the Nashville Cats; and PCA Caddie Hall of Fame singer Gary Chapman.

Thank you to the Publishers, HoriPro, Warner Chappell Music, David Preston, BMI and the PCA Team for helping make the PCA Stan The Man Publishers Music dream come true.
