Caterpillar Inc. Assists Extreme Makeover: Home Edition in the Teas Family Project

Summer Camp for Special Needs Children Receives Extreme Makeover

PURDY, Mo., Aug. 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE:CAT) and dealer partner Fabick CAT are rolling out equipment big and small for an Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (EMHE) project for the Teas family of Purdy, Missouri. Purdy is the home of Camp Barnabas, a non-profit summer camp for hundreds of special needs children operated by Paul and Cyndy Teas. The Teas family and Camp Barnabas will be the subject of an Extreme Makeover the week of August 17-24, 2005.

The episode features Caterpillar Inc. as the designated equipment supplier through The Cat Rental Stores of Missouri regional dealer Fabick CAT. EMHE has only seven days to makeover Camp Barnabas, and that leaves no room for downtime or equipment failure. With the hallmark reliability of Cat equipment and the strong support team from Caterpillar dealer partner Fabick CAT, the right people and the right tools will be on the job to make sure the crew meets the deadline for Camp Barnabas.

The Extreme Makeover: Home Edition team will be well equipped with everything from Cat boots and gloves to excavators and skid steer loaders. The EMHE crew will use more than 30 Cat machines and generators, provided through Fabick Rents, The Cat Rental Store, during the Teas family project.
