WHAT: For a dedicated band of the world's most acclaimed winter
sports athletes, the sport all about going downhill keeps
reaching new heights. Warren Miller's HIGHER GROUND

ending search for new and thrilling ways to ride the snow.
Helicopters, winged flight suits, an aircraft carrier and the
New York City Fire Department unite with skis and snowboards
in the ultimate quest for snow perfection. The search
crisscrosses the globe hitting the backcountry in Alaska,
terrain parks in Colorado, deep powder in British Columbia
and cliffs in Switzerland.

WHY: Warren Miller hit the snow more than 50 years ago with a
single camera and a dream of bringing the mountains to life
on the big screen. In doing so, Miller pioneered action
sports filmmaking and has documented the ski bum lifestyle
for millions worldwide, inspiring people of all ages to keep
their snow riding dreams alive. Today the company brings fans
even deeper into the heart of the mountains, showing HIGHER
GROUND as the country's first high definition film tour. True
to the company's independent roots, the film remains self
distributed.
