Crosby, Stills & Nash to Embark on Major North American Leg of Their 2005 World Tour Following Completion of European Itinerary
LOS ANGELES, June 28 /PRNewswire/ -- The legendary Rock and Roll Hall of Fame trio Crosby, Stills & Nash (CSN) launch the North American leg of their World Tour 2005 on July 23 with a show in Florence, MA. Their two-month-plus Stateside sweep follows a nearly two-dozen date swing through eleven countries on the European continent that marked their first tour "over there" in over a decade.
The band hit the road this year in support of their most recent album projects, including Man Alive, Stephen Stills' new solo studio CD, released in Europe in June with a U.S. debut slated for August, and the Crosby/Nash 2-CD studio set Crosby-Nash. Also released earlier this year was the new single- disc Crosby, Stills & Nash retrospective Greatest Hits compilation.
CSN's coast-to-coast North American tour, comprised of almost three dozen dates, includes shows at Boston, MA's Bank of America Pavillion (7/30), an exclusive 2-night engagement at New York City's historic Beacon Theater (8/1-2), Wolf Trap/The Filene Center in Vienna, VA (8/13), Missoula, MT's Big Sky Brewing Amphitheater, and Vancouver, BC's Orpheum Theater (9/3). California gigs include shows at the Luther Burbank Center in Santa Rosa (9/7) and Los Angeles' Greek Theater on September 10. Currently, the itinerary concludes in Las Vegas on September 17.
When CSN formed in Los Angeles, they were an instant supergroup, each member emerging from one of the biggest acts of the era -- David Crosby from The Byrds, Stephen Stills from Buffalo Springfield, and Graham Nash from The Hollies. Since then, as a trio and with Neil Young in CSNY, they've proved to be one of the most popular and influential acts in rock history, with peerless harmonies and classic anthems including "Carry On," "Marrakesh Express," "Long Time Gone," "Southern Cross," "Teach Your Children," "Wooden Ships," "Our House" and "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes."
The Crosby, Stills & Nash World Tour 2005 is their first large-scale international road journey since 1992. On the road as three together, their North American dates will find them primed for a stellar homecoming that's not to be missed.
