Toshiba Reinforces Market Leadership with Full Line Up of Combination TVs at Dealer Line Show in Albuquerque

Widescreen and high definition models take center stage

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., May 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Toshiba America Consumer Products, L.L.C. (Toshiba) showcased today its full line of TV combination models. Affirming its industry leading position in TV combination products, Toshiba has announced the availability of two new widescreen HDTV combination models. The widescreen HD-ready MW26G71 (26") and MW30G71 (30") models offer consumers a variety of multimedia entertainment options including a four format Memory Card slot as well as DVD and VCR playback capabilities.

The new widescreen MW26G71 (26") and MW30G71 (30") HD compatible models feature FST PURE(R) Flat CRT screens, a full featured progressive scan DVD Player and a 4-Head Hi Fi VCR. The sets also include a Memory Card slot supporting four formats (Secure Digital(TM), Memory Stick(TM), xD-Picture Card(TM) and Multimedia Memory Card) for the playback of JPEGs and unencrypted MP3/WMA files. When connected to an optional DTV tuner, through an HDMI(TM) Input or ColorStream(R) HD, these sets are ready to deliver dazzling images in Enhanced Definition 540p as well as High Definition (HDTV) 1080i resolution.

Standard Definition Tri-Play Combination

Toshiba has also introduced five new standard definition TV/DVD/VCR models. The MW14F51 (14"), MW20F51 (20"), MW24F51 (24") and MW27F51 (27") all feature FST PURE(R) flat tube designs. With integrated DVD-Video players, 4- Head Hi Fi VCRs, and stereo TVs, these sets offer users convenience and flexibility. The new 2005 line features Memory Card slots supporting four formats (Secure Digital, Memory Stick, xD-Picture Card and Multimedia Memory Card), WMA, MP3 and JPEG Playback, four picture preference modes and front A/V inputs.

All of Toshiba's HD and SD Tri-Play units feature a digital audio output, allowing an easy connection to a Dolby(R) Digital or DTS(R) system for powerful home theater surround sound.

TV/DVD Combination

Available now Toshiba's comprehensive line up of five TV/DVD combination models including the MD13Q41 (13") and the MD20Q41 (20"). These sets feature an integrated DVD player, front firing stereo speakers, four picture preference modes (standard, sports, movie, and memory), front A/V inputs and headphone jack, and a JPEG viewer.

Also included in the line are the MD14F51 (14"), MD20F51 (20") and MD24F51 (24"). These three TV/DVD combos offer the same set of features but also offer an FST PURE(R) flat screen that provides greater edge detail and a wider viewing angle. The MD20F51 and the MD24F51 also offer StableSound(R), a Digital Comb Filter and WMA/MP3 playback.

TV/VCR Combination

Available in stores now the MV13Q41 (13") and the MV20Q41 (20") feature a built-in VCR, front firing speakers, four picture preference modes and front A/V inputs and headphone jack.
