OPEC President Tells Bloomberg TV: Production Will Remain High to Meet Demand
DEAD SEA, Jordan, May 20 /PRNewswire/ -- OPEC President and Kuwaiti Oil Minister Sheikh Ahman Fahd al-Sabah today told BLOOMBERG TELEVISION that OPEC will maintain its current near record level of oil production even if it causes crude prices to fall.
"We affirm that if global demand keeps on growing then we will keep on producing whatever the level of the price is," Sheikh Ahman Fahd al-Sabah said on BLOOMBERG TELEVISION.
In his live interview with BLOOMBERG TELEVISION, the Sheikh said that OPEC is currently producing 30.3 million barrels per day.
