The Fray Added to iTunes, Continues to Garner Substantial Radio Play and Sell Out Colorado's Gothic Theater With a Capacity of Over 1000

NEW YORK, May 17 /PRNewswire/ -- On Tuesday, May 24, iTunes will be adding a song from The Fray's forthcoming Epic Records debut, slated for release this September. The anthemic single, "Over My Head (Cable Car)," previously unavailable, has already received substantial airplay at two of the biggest and most respected stations in the band's hometown of Denver.

Stunningly, first KTCL and then KBCO started giving the cut spins before The Fray had earned its major record deal -- especially impressive, when you consider the constraints of modern radio. Moreover, in addition to adding "Over My Head (Cable Car)" to regular rotation in November 2004, KTCL launched an unprecedented listener-driven campaign to garner the outfit a recording contract.

That airplay has helped bolster The Fray's already strong grassroots following locally. The act's upcoming May 20 date at Englewood's Gothic Theatre, one the band's first shows back home since returning from recording and completing a string of East Coast dates, sold-out its 1000+ tickets a month in advance. The band will also appear at The Aggie Theater in Fort Collins on May 18th.
