LOS ANGELES, May 10 /PRNewswire/ -- The hit CBS television show The Amazing Race has teamed up with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital to help fight childhood cancer. For the first time ever, props from the show will be offered on eBay, The World's Online Marketplace(R). The Amazing Race charity auction will go live on Tuesday, May 10 following the two-hour season finale of the show's seventh season, which will be broadcast from 9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT on the CBS Television Network. 100 percent of the net proceeds will benefit St. Jude to help children with cancer and other catastrophic childhood diseases. Fans are encouraged to log on to www.ebay.com/amazingrace to bid on one-of-a-kind props and memorabilia. The listings will run for 10 days, concluding on Friday, May 20.
Nine items from previous The Amazing Race season finales will be up for bid for the first time ever! All items are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. Picture your name on the leaderboard as you bid to own one-of- a-kind props and memorabilia from the Season Three and Season Five finales. You won't need strength, endurance, foreign language-skills, or navigation ability to finish first in the bidding war for these unique items-just internet access!
Up for bid are pieces of the animal totem pole, the final Roadblock from Season Three, offered in eight separate lots. During the contest finalists vying for the finish line had to spin the totem sections and align the animal faces in the chronological order that they had appeared in the race (donkey, dolphin, horse, goat and manatee). Also up for bid is a giant clam shell from the Season Five finale. Consider yourself lucky that you won't have to search the depths of the South China Sea to snatch up this pearl of a prop. In addition, The Amazing Race host Phil Keoghan has donated many of his own mementos from the show, including clothing worn by him during the series, signed "clue" envelopes, "You've been Eliminated" t-shirts, The Amazing Race hats and more, all signed by the likeable host.
