An expedited illustrated biography on the life and times of Pope John Paul the Second -- John Paul the Second: The Man, the Disciple, the Leader -- has been revised and updated for publication in mid-May by Reader's Digest Adult Trade Publishing.

The English-language version of this 288-page biography had been scheduled for U-S release in early September. The first edition of John Paul the Second was originally created by the editors of Reader's Digest Poland, where it enjoyed success in that market following its 2001 release. Anticipation of strong interest in the personal story and final legacy of one of the world's most beloved leaders prompted the decision for an early release date.
