- Promotes Pavle Vrabec to Deputy Director General of POP TV and Kanal A Networks in Slovenia -

HAMILTON, Bermuda, April 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Central European Media Enterprises Ltd. ("CME") (NASDAQ:CETV) today announced the appointment of Marijan Jurenec as Director, Adriatic Region, effective immediately. In this newly created position, Mr. Jurenec will combine responsibility for the Company's expansion strategy in the former Yugoslavia with his continued supervision of CME's television networks in Slovenia and Croatia. He will retain his responsibilities as General Director of POP TV and Kanal A, the Company's two television networks in Slovenia.

CME also announced today that it has promoted Pavle Vrabec to Deputy Director General of POP TV and Kanal A, effective immediately. He will retain his responsibilities as Sales Director of POP TV and Kanal A.

Marijan Jurenec, 48, has led the successful development of POP TV since its launch in 1996. With the acquisition of Kanal A in 2000, he has created market-leading broadcasting channels, which provide a diverse range of programming in news, entertainment, sports and award-winning locally produced series. POP TV has won numerous awards including the prestigious PROMAX Golden Award for news promotion in 2005. Mr. Jurenec has been closely involved in CME's expansion strategy for the former Yugoslavia and has established strong operating synergies between POP TV and TV Nova, CME's Croatian network, in sales, co-productions, news and technical support.
