WASHINGTON, March 3 /PRNewswire/ -- The USO and Armed Forces Entertainment (AFE) will soon deploy Adema on the group's first tour to entertain troops stationed in the Persian Gulf. The modern rock band, consisting of lead singer Luke Caraccioli, guitarist Tim Fluckey, bassist Dave DeRoo and drummer Kris Kohls, will perform free shows and "meet and greet" troops stationed at a number of locations in the region.

The quartet, based in Bakersfield, Calif., released its self-titled debut in 2001. The album garnered critical acclaim and the Top 15 Modern Rock track "Giving In." In 2002, the group recorded "Immortal" for the Mortal Kombat(R): Deadly Alliance(TM) video game, which introduced them to a new audience. Their 2003 release, "Unstable," was another critical and commercial success as well as a delight to their fans, also known as Adema-maniacs. Most revered for their live shows, the band's songs feature honest lyrics and a unique sound.
Adema's debut album for Earache Records, "Planets," will hit stores in the United States on April 5, 2005 and stores in Europe on April 11, 2005. This album will be the first with lead vocals by Luke Caraccioli. Caraccioli, a former Marine, is no stranger to life in the military. "To know the feelings they have being on deployment, being away from their families and being cut off from society -- and now to be able to do this for them, it makes me extremely happy," said Caraccioli.
This tour continues the USO/AFE mission to bring celebrity entertainment to the "front lines." Recent tour participants traveling to the Persian Gulf region include Robin Williams, James Gandolfini, Toby Keith, Colin Quinn, David Letterman, Henry Rollins and Wayne Newton.
