Former Deputy Secretary of Commerce (MD) Launches Godalive.fm Internet Radio

Former Deputy Secretary of Commerce (MD) Launches Godalive.fm Internet Radio

BALTIMORE, March 25 /PRNewswire/ -- American Business Radio, one of the fastest growing Internet media networks, announced the launch of Godalive.fm internet radio station. On the launch, Godalive.fm was projected by industry experts to be a top spiritual Internet radio station, primarily due to the list of recognizable Pastors on the network.

The programming features top Pastors like Bishop-Elect Walter Scott Thomas of New Psalmist Baptist Church in Baltimore, Maryland, a Church with over 10,000 members. The station line up will include other Pastors from across the nation, gospel music, and spiritual talk radio shows, such as the BeBe Winans Show, which features Grammy Award Winning Gospel artist, BeBe Winans.

Congressman Elijah E. Cummings, son of two pastors and former Chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus, said that "Godalive.fm is a great idea, and bringing pastors together to uplift and empower people is a great idea, and certainly what the nation needs right now."

Introduced in June at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), Sandra Long, CEO of Godalive.fm and the Former Deputy Secretary of Commerce (MD) said, "Technology has changed the way people get spiritual uplifting- Godalive.fm is designed to meet the audience where they are today, on the Internet."

A new study by Bridge Ratings stated that by the year 2010, Internet radio users will grow from 50 million to more than 187 million. In addition, it states that due to wireless and broadband technology, it seems likely that Internet radio will grow at a greater rate than Satellite Radio. Further, the study states that wireless Internet radio represents a bigger threat to terrestrial radio than satellite.

During the Easter Holidays, Godalive.fm launched its National Bus Campaign called "Are you listening?" The campaign featured Dr. Walter Scott Thomas, Reverend Raphael Warnock and Reverend Ronald C. Williams of Maryland. "Easter is one of the most recognized religious holidays, we wanted to launch the bus campaign at a time when the nation is focused on spirituality," said Ms. Long.

Godalive.fm will extend its brand and introduce Godalive.tv, an internet video streaming division in July 2005.
