Reactivity Excels in Two New Independent Reports

Hurwitz & Associates and Network Testing Labs Laud Performance, Flexibility and Ease-of-Use of Reactivity XML Web Services Security Solution

BELMONT, Calif., Feb. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Reactivity, Inc. the leader in secure XML Web services deployment systems, today made available on its Web site two new independent reports highlighting the customer benefits and technical capabilities of the Reactivity Secure Web Services Deployment System. The reports were prepared by Hurwitz & Associates, a Waltham, MA based consulting, research and analyst firm, and Network Testing Labs, known for its independent technology research and product evaluations. The reports highlight the role Reactivity's technology can play in implementing enterprise XML Web services.

Based on in-depth interviews with enterprise architects, the Hurwitz & Associates Customer Benefit Report, "XML Web Services Implementation: Best Practices," looks at how three customers of Reactivity -- Aeroplan, Thomson Prometric and an unnamed financial services institution -- deployed Reactivity's technology to meet their business goals. The report pinpoints security issues with SOAs, outlines the top concerns and challenges in adopting XML Web services and how Reactivity addresses those challenges to accelerate XML Web services adoption. It concludes with a ten-step process for implementing a secure SOA strategy.

The Network Testing Labs document, "Reactivity's Gateway Appliance in an XML Infrastructure," reports on how well the Reactivity Gateway 2400 appliance running the XOS 4.1 operating system stood up to a grueling set of tests run in the group's network lab. Scoring straight As for performance, security, scalability and ease-of-use, Barry Nance, the report's author, wrote that "the [Gateway 2400] proved to be exactly the right answer to what would otherwise have been a difficult and expensive array of infrastructure problems," and concluded, "It belongs in every XML infrastructure."
