John Fogerty and Keith Urban Hit the Stage for an Electrifying Episode of 'CMT CROSSROADS' Premiering on February 19
NASHVILLE, Tenn., Feb. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Legendary singer, songwriter and musician, John Fogerty, paired up with one of the hottest new superstars in country music, Keith Urban, for a night of rocking music, guitar solos, vocal harmonies and stories in the latest episode of the critically acclaimed series CMT CROSSROADS, premiering Saturday, Feb. 19 at 9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT* on CMT. The one-hour CMT CROSSROADS, taped in front of an invitation-only audience in Los Angeles, gave Fogerty and Urban a chance to perform their signature hits together including "Bad Moon Rising," "Centerfield" and "You'll Think of Me."
"Keith is going to be here a long time because he's just loaded with talent. He sings great, writes great songs and seems to have that radar to work with good people," Fogerty tells CMT. "I just think he's got it all together, and it's like a skyrocket just starting."
"It's a lot of fun playing with John," says Urban who has been a fan of Fogerty's music since the 70s. "When you're standing next to the guy who wrote 'Bad Moon Rising' and he's singing 'Bad Moon Rising,' you're like, 'Oh wow! This is pretty damn good right here!"
A member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, John Fogerty is one of America's greatest singer/songwriters and musicians. "Bad Moon Rising," "Who'll Stop The Rain," "Lodi," "Looking Out My Back Door," "The Old Man Down The Road," "Proud Mary" and "Centerfield" are just a few of the rock standards Fogerty created both as a solo artist and with his seminal 60s and 70s band Creedence Clearwater Revival. Fogerty blended rockabilly, R&B, swamp rock and country music into a potent mix all his own. In addition to his revered work with CCR, Fogerty released hit solo albums such as "Centerfield" (1985), "Eye of The Zombie" (1986) and the Grammy-winning "Blue Moon Swamp" (1997). In September 2004 Fogerty produced and released "Deja Vu All Over Again," had a hit single with the title track, joined Bruce Springsteen on the Vote For Change tour and drew praise from the media for his fall headlining tour.
Keith Urban is the Country Music Association's reigning "Male Vocalist of the Year." He has been electrifying audiences across the country since his debut release in 1999 and since then has sold millions of albums. Urban is a three-time 2005 Grammy nominee including "Best Male Country Vocal Performance" and "Best Country Album" for his latest album, "Be Here," which debuted at No.1 on Billboard's Country Album Chart (No. 3 on Billboard's Top 200 Album Chart) and went platinum in just six weeks. He recently celebrated his fifth No. 1 single ("Days Go By"), has had eight consecutive Top 5 songs and has performed to packed houses all over the world.
