Company Unveils 'Military-Like' Protection Case for iPods

MECHANICSVILLE, Va., Feb. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- A couple of Virginia businessmen have come up with Casemandu(TM), the ultimate protective case for the iPod and many of its most popular accessories. Casemandu(TM) cases are waterproof, dust-proof and shock-proof and feature a precision-routed foam insert, custom made for both iPods and iPod minis.

"It's the same foam used by elite military units and NASA to protect the most sensitive equipment in their inventories," said Ed Loughran, who invented the Casemandu(TM) with partner Tim Adams.

"Casemandu(TM) cases are specially designed to prevent 'bag rash,' the damage you get when you store your iPod in backpacks and other gear bags," said Adams. "When you put something as valuable as an iPod inside a book bag, the movement within the bag and the damage from other items rubbing against it destroys the finish and the value of your iPod. The Casemandu(TM) design solves that problem."

Loughran believes the Casemandu(TM) is a wise investment for all iPod owners. "We looked around for a solution like the Casemandu(TM) case and we couldn't find one, so we invented it," Loughran said. "It's the only case on the market that combines all the protection, organization and storage capacity in one nearly indestructible unit."

iPod(R) is a registered trademarks of Apple Computers.
