WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis., Jan. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- On Saturday, January 29, 2005, the Wisconsin Virtual Academy will host a free, day-long Innovation in Education Expo for Wisconsin families.

About the Education Expo:


The Innovation in Education Expo is designed for families involved with, or interested in, the Wisconsin Virtual Academy. Families who attend the Expo will have the opportunity to take part in many exciting education activities and workshops for parents and children, including:

* Getting to know the Wisconsin Virtual Academy
* Adapting to a change in lifestyle
* A day in the life of a Wisconsin Virtual Academy family
* What about socialization?

About the Wisconsin Virtual Academy:

The Wisconsin Virtual Academy is a tuition-free statewide public virtual school program established in cooperation with the Northern Ozaukee School District. WIVA offers every Wisconsin student an innovative model for public education by delivering lessons to their homes via the Internet, and instruction from a certified public school teacher. The school uses the nationally acclaimed K12 curriculum.

It is the goal of WIVA to provide students with an excellent education, grounded in high academic standards, that will help them achieve their full academic and social potential.
