New Features for VeriSign(R) Email Security Service Demonstrated at Lotusphere 2005; Internap Signs on as Channel Partner for Updated Service

Advanced reporting and user management, spam filtering, content and policy filtering, and virus scanning capabilities are some of the new features that will be immediately available. VeriSign will demonstrate these new capabilities at Lotusphere 2005 in Orlando, Florida on January 23-27, 2005.

The VeriSign Email Security Service is an extension of VeriSign Intelligence and Control(SM) Services and helps businesses of all sizes combat the threat of spam and email-borne viruses. The VeriSign Email Security Service uses a cost-effective, service-oriented approach that delivers enterprises a measurable and immediate return on investment by improving IT and employee productivity, reducing bandwidth and storage costs and increasing email reliability.

ability to block malicious content sneaking in through archived
attachments (.zip, .tar, etc.) by performing a deep scan of the files
within the archives
-- Aggressive Spam Filtering: Provided by advanced custom spam filtering
options and dynamic updates to rules engine for rapid detection of
fast-changing spam variants
-- Preemptive Virus Protection: Offered by placing suspicious emails on
"virus hold" until the anti-virus engines are updated with the latest
patches to remove the virus



VeriSign also announced today that Internap Network Services Corporation (AMEX:IIP) has signed on as channel partners for the updated VeriSign Email Security Service. Internap already sells a range of products from VeriSign's Managed Security Services.
