Online Auction Site Bid4Assets Signs Agreement With the American Red Cross for Tsunami Relief Efforts

Online Auction Site Bid4Assets to Donate 100% of Its Revenue Generated on January 18, 2005, to the American Red Cross to Assist in Their Tsunami Relief Efforts

SILVER SPRING, Md., Jan. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Bid4Assets, a leading online auction site for high-end assets from government, non-profits and private industry, today announced that it is joining forces with the American Red Cross to assist in their Tsunami relief efforts. Bid4Assets will donate 100% of its revenue generated (on average $25 per auction sold with a $10,000 minimum commitment) on Tuesday, January 18, 2005, to the American Red Cross to help relief efforts for the recent tragedy in South Asia. Bid4Assets is encouraging individuals and businesses large and small to make the same financial commitment (or more) to a charitable organization to help those suffering on the other side of the world.

"As Americans we are generous and compassionate. We want to help the victims of the recent tragedy by declaring January 18th as a Tsunami relief day, the day we will give 100% of our proceeds to the American Red Cross," said Jenny Lynch, Vice President of Corporate-Wide Communications. "The American Red Cross was chosen because we feel they are the best charitable organization for handling both national and international disaster relief efforts."

"We hope to get others actively involved in the relief efforts by joining the Bid4Assets ONE DAY Club and making the ONE DAY donation (at a minimum) the Nation's standard," said Jenny Lynch of Bid4Assets. "We need everyone's help in spreading the word. All of our efforts, large or small, will make a difference to the helpless victims of this horrific tragedy."

To help make the Bid4Assets January 18th donation effort a huge success, buyers and sellers are encouraged to visit the Bid4Assets Web site at http://www.bid4assets.com/ to list an item for sale (to close on January 18th) or to bid on an item scheduled to close on January 18th.
