NetCentrex' MyCall(R) Solution & Thales' SmartVision TV Platform Interoperate to Deliver a State-of-the-Art Triple Play Platform
PARIS, January 24/PRNewswire/ -- NetCentrex, the leading enabler of converged voice-video-data networks
and next-generation services, and Thales, an international electronics and
systems group specializing in broadcast and multimedia, are pleased to
announce their collaboration to deliver a state-of-the-art Triple Play
platform to Telcos and Service providers, combining Thales' SmartVision
TV(TM) IP Video Service Platform with NetCentrex' MyCall(R) Solution.
A demonstration of an integrated Triple Play portal will be presented at
the SIP/TVoDSL show in Paris on the NetCentrex Booth from 26 to 28 January.
Interoperability between the NetCentrex and Thales solutions enables
end-users to have full control over their Voice over IP services, including
management of calls and voicemail via a user-friendly TV portal interface.
The back-office connection between the two systems enables Service Providers
to introduce Triple Play commercial offerings in a smooth and flexible
manner. In facilitating interoperability between their respective Voice and
Video over IP solutions, NetCentrex and Thales are contributing to the
acceleration of network and system convergence for Triple Play Service
Providers.
Thales' SmartVision TV(TM) system enables Service Providers to build and
manage end-to-end IP TV services centrally and deliver them to residential
users. Leveraging on Thales' experience as a video architect and systems
integrator for Tier1 TelcoTV deployments, SmartVision TV(TM) lets Service
Providers administer the entire video delivery chain, right up to the set top
box.
Thales is a forerunner in the field of IP Video solutions, and it has
already supplied leading-edge IP Video services to utilities, government and
especially Telco markets all over the world. Its unique combination of
broadcasting experience and a mature broadband video offering reduces the
risk factor for IP Video service providers when delivering end-to-end high
quality video solutions.
With NetCentrex MyCall solution, Service Providers can deliver
next-generation voice and video telephony services, including media services,
on their broadband networks (DSL, Cable, Fiber, Wireless) and provide
attractive and differentiated packages. MyCall runs on a carrier-grade,
secure platform that has already been deployed by more than 20 telcos around
the world for residential communications services. NetCentrex residential
deployments exceed 1 million voice lines.
NetCentrex has been providing IP Telephony solutions to leading edge
Service Providers since 1999 and powers the largest VoIP deployment in Europe
today. NetCentrex' extensive experience in deploying and managing VoIP
networks is recognized throughout the telecommunications industry and is
considered the best choice for secure and reliable IP Telephony
implementations.
