Personal Videophone and 'Must-have' Razr Win 'Best of' honors

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- At the Consumer Electronics Show (Booth #8545, Central Hall), Motorola, Inc. (NYSE:MOT) unveiled new Seamless Mobility solutions, including high-speed and feature-packed handsets and an alliance to develop wireless communications-enabled outerwear.

"Motorola is bringing power to the person through Seamless Mobility," said Ed Zander, chairman and CEO, Motorola. "Whether at home, in the auto, at work or out in the world, we recognize that the consumer is in command, and we develop solutions accordingly. We're catalysts for -- rather than controllers of -- the consumer's experience."

Ron Garriques, Motorola executive vice president and president of the company's personal devices business, will present a keynote on Thursday, January 6, at 4:30 p.m. Pacific Time at the Las Vegas Hilton.

In addition to showcasing new Seamless Mobility solutions, Motorola is celebrating "Best of" honors bestowed on two of its newest designs - the Personal Videophone known as Ojo(TM) and the wildly popular, must-have Motorola Razr V3 handset. Both solutions were recognized by CES for Innovation in Design and Engineering.

OUT IN THE WORLD

* Motorola E815 -- With the introduction of its first EVDO handset in North America, Motorola is delivering a new level of speed and functionality. Enabling new features like video on demand, the E815 brings rich entertainment to consumers.

* Taking it to the EDGE -- Motorola continues to combine its innovative design with advanced technology with the introduction of the EDGE-enabled V635 and V186. With the V635's one-megapixel camera, video capture and playback and TransFlash(TM) removable memory, consumers can capture and share more of life's events quickly and easily.

The Motorola E815, V635 and V186 are expected to be available Q1 2005.

* Mobile Music via Bluetooth -- Motorola delivers wire-free musical entertainment via the Motorola Bluetooth(R) Stereo Headset HT820, Motorola Bluetooth(R) Stereo Transceiver DC800 and Motorola Bluetooth(R) USB PC Adapter PC850. Music can now be streamed from your phone, stereo or PC to your headset for wire-free listening enjoyment.

* Burton Snowboard Alliance -- Motorola brings wireless technology to the mountains with Burton Snowboards. Incorporating Bluetooth technology, the wearables line includes a Bluetooth-enabled jacket, helmet and beanie that

will provide wireless, high-performance connectivity and playability on and off the slopes starting in winter 2005-2006.

IN THE CONNECTED HOME

* Debut of the Motorola Ojo(TM) Personal Videophone -- Motorola announced the debut of the highly-anticipated Motorola Ojo(TM) Personal Videophone. The first consumer product to bring video telephony out of the future and into the "connected home," Motorola Ojo connects friends, family or business associates separated by physical distance with real-time, face-to-face communication.

Along with the debut of Ojo, Motorola announced "The Motorola Ojo(TM) WINMEMOTO Sweepstakes." The contest coincides with the premier of the fourth season of FOX's hit drama "24" on January 9, 2005.

* Motorola Home Monitoring and Control System -- We extended our portfolio of solutions for monitoring the home by introducing a new line of IP-based home network cameras and extending the functionality of our Home Monitoring and Control System with ten new accessories.

IN THE AUTO

Motorola unveiled its BLNC Bluetooth(R) Car Kit Portfolio, which includes three products and provides consumers a range of features and price points to make in-vehicle communication more convenient. The products are expected to be available in North America during the first quarter of 2005 via http://www.hellomoto.com/.
