MaxStream Reduces Price of Value-Oriented 9XCite Modem

RS-232 and USB Wireless Modems Start at $89 USD

LINDON, Utah, Jan. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Leading manufacturer for wireless device networking, MaxStream(R) Inc., has dropped the price of the FCC-approved 9XCite(TM) stand-alone wireless modem to $89 USD. The low-cost 9XCite stand-alone RF modems are available with either an RS-232 or USB interface and housed in a durable aluminum casing. The 9XCite-PKG stand-alone units feature the lowest cost for a 900 MHz spread spectrum transceiver. MaxStream has also cut the price of the 9XCite OEM modules to $40 USD, with volume discounts available.

The 9XCite modules feature 4 mW output power and are pin-compatible with MaxStream's XStream(TM) transceivers. The 9XCite also boasts a receive sensitivity of -108 dBm, yielding ranges up to 300 ft. in indoor/urban environments and up to 1000 ft. line-of-sight. The 9XCite is designed to conserve power with transmit and receive currents measuring approximately 50 mA.
