WHO: Macy's Herald Square Presents 9th Annual Kids' Night on Broadway.
A national audience development program that was designed to
introduce young people to the magic of live theatre and make it
accessible to a new generation of theatregoers. Since its
inception in 1996 by the League of American Theatres and Producers,
Inc. and Theatre Development Fund, more than 100,000 young people
have attended Broadway productions.

WHAT: Kids Night on Broadway is an annual "VIK Night" (Very Important
Kid) event on the Great White Way, when Broadway shows admit young
people ages 6-18 for free when accompanied by a full paying adult
(tickets were sold in advance). The VIK's and their adults are
invited to an exclusive pre-theatre party at Macy's Herald Square
where they'll participate in Broadway-inspired activities. The
festivities begin with a specially themed Kids Night on Broadway
window unveiling on 34th Street with Tony Award-winner Sutton
Foster and pop legend Maureen McGovern.

MORE: The Macy's Pre-theatre party will feature live, interactive,
entertainment including Broadway choreography, dance lessons,
costumes, hair and makeup, mock auditions, karaoke, art contests,
autographing. In addition current Broadway stars, Julie Foldesi of
Little Women and Matt Caplan and Cary Shields of Rent will give a
special live performance and will be on hand to meet and greet
Kids' Night fans.
