ADB's technology to deliver cost savings for Europe's largest healthcare provider
TORONTO, Jan. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ADB Systems International (TSX: ADY; OTCBB: ADBYF), a global provider of asset lifecycle management solutions, announced today that the Healthcare Purchasing Consortium (HPC) has increased the number of its site licenses to ADB's suite of electronic procurement technology. As announced previously, the HPC was awarded Pathfinder status by the Department of Health (U.K.), and mandated to prove and refine the collaborative procurement model developed for the National Health Service, Europe's largest provider of healthcare services. "ADB's technology is helping to provide us evidence that collaborative procurement works," said Jonathan Wedgbury, Chief Executive of the HPC. "The success of the Pathfinder initiative will deliver tremendous cost savings and improved supplier performance to the National Health Service."
The HPC is a supply management confederation to the National Health Service. The HPC oversees an annual procurement spend of pnds stlg 637 million. On behalf of its members, the HPC is responsible for the purchasing of capital goods and services, implementation of national contracts, management of the supply chain activities, and development of purchasing strategies.
"The HPC's expanded use of our software solutions provides further evidence of the calibre and flexibility of our technology to support the unique requirements of our customers," said Jeff Lymburner, CEO of ADB Systems. "The success of the Pathfinder initiative will, we believe, pave the way for increased use of ADB's technology."
