Handleman Company Promotes Ron Lund to Senior Vice President for Product Management & Logistics and Business Processes

TROY, Mich., Jan. 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Handleman Company (NYSE:HDL), http://www.handleman.com/ , today announced the promotion of Ron Lund to Senior Vice President for Product Management & Logistics and Business Processes. As Senior Vice President, Mr. Lund's responsibilities include all aspects of music product management, such as product selection, purchasing, replenishment, supplier relations and product logistics, as well as the Company's information technology operations.

Since joining Handleman Company in 1995, Mr. Lund has held a series of increasingly responsible positions, including Group Vice President for Product Management & Logistics, General Manager of a regional customer team, and several management positions within the Company's Information Technology Department. Mr. Lund earned a bachelor's degree from Harding University and an MBA degree from the University of Michigan.

Handleman Company is a category manager and distributor of prerecorded music to mass merchants in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Brazil and Argentina. As a category manager, Handleman manages a broad assortment of titles to optimize sales and inventory productivity in retail stores and provides direct-to-store shipments, marketing and in-store merchandising.
