Details: McCarran International Airport (Las Vegas), the seventh largest
airport in the country, and Aruba Wireless Networks, a Silicon
Valley Wi-Fi systems company have deployed the largest airport-
wide free Wi-Fi environment in the country covering approximately
1.7 million square feet and servicing over 37 million travelers a
year.
McCarran has turned to new state-of-the-art Wi-Fi technology to
make traveling for the public not just more enjoyable but also
more efficient. The official launch is in advance of the popular
International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), which caters to
more than 160,000 computer savvy professionals. But it's not
just about free Wi-Fi for everyone. McCarran's Wi-Fi system will
support innovative new applications that help increase the
efficiency of the airport and get travelers to their planes
faster with less hassles.
