Chicago Artists 'Get Inspired' to Help the Homeless

Non-Profit Organization Showcases Local Artists Work to Benefit the Homeless

CHICAGO, Jan. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Inspiration Corporation is hosting its 12th Annual Inspired Art Auction on Friday, March 18th from 6:00 PM -- 10:00 PM in the Preston Bradley Hall at the Chicago Cultural Center, 78 E. Washington. Please list this event in your event calendar or plan to attend to cover the event.

This year's event will feature more than 100 pieces of juried artwork donated by leading Chicago-area artists. A silent auction will run throughout the evening and a live auction will begin at 8:00 PM. WXRT's Terri Hemmert will be the auctioneer.

The auction will include paintings, photography, pottery, sculpture, jewelry, and mixed media featuring Chicago's most talented. Live jazz music, as well as cocktails and hors d'oeuvres will enhance the beautiful atmosphere of the Preston Bradley Hall.

Founded in 1989 by an ex-Chicago police officer named Lisa Nigro, Inspiration Corporation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and United Way member agency that currently encompasses two agencies: Inspiration Cafe (IC), located in Chicago's Uptown neighborhood, and The Living Room Cafe (LRC) in the Woodlawn community on the south side of Chicago.
