Brillian Corporation to Report Fourth Quarter and Full Year Results by End of February

TEMPE, Ariz., Jan. 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Brillian Corporation (NASDAQ:BRLC), a designer and developer of rear-projection, high-definition televisions based on its proprietary liquid crystal on silicon (LCoS(TM)) microdisplays, today announced that it expects to report its financial results for the fourth quarter and full year ended December 31, 2004 by the end of February.

"We usually release our financial results in the fourth week following the end of the quarter," commented Wayne Pratt, Brillian's Chief Financial Officer. "We are now required under Generally Accepted Accounting Principles to perform an annual analysis of our long-lived assets, such as Intangible Assets and Property and Equipment, and we are going through the added process of having a third party evaluation of these assets. This added step adds time to the reporting and auditing process. We believe this process should be complete prior to the end of February and we expect to announce our results significantly in advance of our Form 10-K filing deadline of March 31, 2005."
