Kanye West, Kid Rock, Alanis Morissette, Black Eyed Peas, John Legend Team Up to Benefit Music Education

NEW YORK, Jan. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- American Express today announced the second year of its "Jam Sessions," four nights of intimate concerts at the House of Blues Sunset Strip in West Hollywood, California, February 9 through February 12, 2005. "Jam Sessions" artists scheduled to perform include Kanye West (Feb. 9); Kid Rock (Feb. 10); Alanis Morissette (Feb. 11); Black Eyed Peas and John Legend (Feb. 12). Additional surprise guest artists, as well as ways for fans to experience the "Jam Sessions" even if they can't attend, will be announced soon.

Building on the success of the 2004 "Jam Sessions," American Express is once again supporting music education by generating money and raising awareness about the importance of music education programs in public schools with net proceeds from "Jam Sessions" ticket sales being donated to the VH1 Save The Music Foundation.*

"Music is one way for young people to express themselves, and it's a bridge for connecting with all kinds of people," said Kanye West. "I'm happy to be part of the American Express 'Jam Sessions' to benefit music education. With so many forces in the world driving people apart, it's important to me to help preserve something that brings people together."
