ACS Signs $59.5 Million Contract With New Jersey Department of Human Services

DALLAS, Jan. 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Affiliated Computer Services, Inc., (NYSE:ACS), a premier provider of business process and information technology outsourcing solutions, announced today that it has signed a 3.5-year, $59.5 million contract with the Division of Medical Assistance and Health Services within the New Jersey Department of Human Services. The agreement has the potential for two one-year extensions. ACS will serve as health benefits coordinator for Medicaid Managed Care Programs supporting New Jersey's Medicaid and the State Children's Health Insurance (SCHIP) programs. ACS also operates the State of New Jersey's E-ZPass program.

ACS will provide a broad range of services including screening and processing applications; determining eligibility for NJ FamilyCare program; assessing and collecting premiums; providing outreach, marketing, education, and communication; conducting and maintaining enrollment with managed care organizations; call center operations; and mailroom services.

ACS has significant experience in administering children's health insurance programs in Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, and Virginia, as well as other eligibility programs, such as the Child Care Assistance Program in Connecticut and the Residential Grant Program for the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation in New York. Furthermore, ACS is a leader in providing enrollment broker services in Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Florida, and the District of Columbia, as well as large-scale eligibility, enrollment, outreach, and premium processing operations in Colorado and Texas.
