ATLANTIC CITY, N.J., Dec. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- On December 31, The Quarter at Tropicana, the city's sensational new dining, shopping and entertainment venue, will ring in 2005, Latin style, with a free performance by Tito Puente, Jr., son of the legendary "Rey del Timbal." Puente and his band will begin their one-hour show in Fiesta Plaza at 11:00 p.m.

Following closely in his legendary late father's footsteps, Tito Puente, Jr. is beginning to leave his own mark of distinction in the world of contemporary Latin music. Combining the classic Mambo, Cha Cha and Merengue elements handed down to him by his father, one of the original Mambo Kings, with today's Latin pop and dance sensibilities, Tito Puente, Jr. aims to preserve his family's legacy while introducing this synthesis of sounds to a new generation.

In addition to Tito Puente, Jr.'s performance in Fiesta Plaza, The Quarter will offer a wide variety of exciting activities to help ring in the New Year:

-- Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar will serve its award-winning classic
and contemporary Cuban cuisine with dinner seatings from 4 pm to 10:30
pm. Starting at 10 pm and running through until 4 am, guests will be
dazzled by Cuba Libre's "Late Night Latin" floorshow, with lively
performances, salsa dancing and sizzling Latin sounds, provided by a

-- Ri' Ra' Irish Pub & Restaurant will begin ringing in the New Year at 7
pm, which is Midnight in Dublin. Guests can revel with a lively
performance by Ri' Ra's house band, Danny Beissell Band, until 3 am.

family-style cuisine such as Chicken Contadina, cold and hot
antipastos, Rigatoni Country Style along heaping portions of Fried

preset menu ranging from $45 per person from 5 to 7:30 pm; $65 per
person from 7:30 to 10 pm; and $100 per person from 10 pm to 1 am.

Then, a five-course fixed-price dinner menu for $125 per person plus
