REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Dec. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Determina(TM) Inc. announced that Matthew Powell has joined the company's management team as President and Chief Executive Officer. The addition of Mr. Powell exemplifies Determina's growing momentum in the endpoint security market, and coincides with the shipment of the company's SecureCore 2.0 product line. SecureCore products are based on Memory Firewall technology developed by Determina's founders at MIT. In addition, he was an Entrepreneur-In-Residence (EIR) at both Greylock and Benchmark Capital. He was responsible for worldwide sales and marketing at Netro, which attained a highly successful IPO in 1999. He has held senior sales and marketing positions at Cisco, StrataCom and Nortel Networks. Mr. Powell earned an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School and a BA in Political Science from Tulane University.
