Crossvale-Developed BEA dev2dev Days Seminars Enjoy Success; One-Day Technical Seminar Extended Into Ten Additional Cities

DALLAS, Dec. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Crossvale, Inc. announced today that the highly successful BEA dev2dev Days 2004 developer seminar series, featuring educational content developed by Crossvale, has expanded by ten additional cities and from December through January. The seminars, originally offered in 23 cities across the United States, Europe, and Asia during October and November, have been well received by participants and continue to reflect BEA Systems (NASDAQ:BEAS) and Crossvale's commitment to the developer community. These seminars are designed to offer a great opportunity for developers and their management staff to learn the latest standards, tools, practices and trends for enterprise Services-Oriented Architectures (SOAs). The following cities and dates extend this successful seminar:

-- Charlotte 7-Dec
-- Columbus 7-Dec
-- Dallas 9-Dec
-- Omaha 9-Dec
-- Chennai 14-Dec
-- Minneapolis 11-Jan
-- Singapore 13-Jan
-- Salt Lake City 13-Jan
-- Irvine 18-Jan
-- San Diego 20-Jan

Crossvale designed and developed the content-rich presentation of these seminars for a wide range of audiences, covering a comprehensive leading-edge product and technology stack. Crossvale incorporated strategic BEA partners into the holistic solution, crafting a seminar that assimilated solution- offerings from HP, Intel, and Borland Software Corporation.

The content featured is designed to illustrate simplified and enabled development of service-oriented, composite, enterprise Java applications. Specifically, it demonstrates how to develop, test, deploy, and monitor a polished, service-oriented composite application, using BEA WebLogic Workshop(TM) 8.1 and BEA WebLogic Platform(TM) 8.1. Using real-world demonstrations, the seminars were developed to help participants learn to understand the content and how they can incorporate it in their own environment.

Attendees will receive an attendee CD featuring the day's presentations, demonstrations, guides and software required to reproduce the demonstrations on their own machines.

Intended to introduce BEA-driven solutions to potential BEA customers as well as updating current BEA customers with the latest roadmap and practices, the seminar series to date has surpassed 13,000 registered attendees, and has seen high satisfaction ratings with 9 out of 10 attendees reporting they were satisfied with the event and that they would recommend it to a friend or colleague.

"The response from our dev2dev Days has been overwhelming," said Scott Regan, senior director of developer marketing, BEA Systems. "Attendees have told us that they strongly value the real-world examples and the demonstration of an end-to-end application development using SOA that is highlighted at the dev2dev Days. Crossvale did an excellent job in helping make BEA dev2dev Days a world-class event."
